summer reading

Does anyone have any suggestions for summer reading? Love to hear what you all are reading and any suggestions you might have for me.

Keeping up with the New Yorker and the Atlantic is about a full time reading job for me. But here's the summer list so far:

I'm currently reading "Road Through Kurdistan." It was written in the 30's by a British engineer who, well, built a road through Kurdistan. Good combo of a Kipling-esque adventure, travelogue, and history of a currently significant region. Just finished "The Know-it-All," which is an account of one man's quest to read the entire Encyclopaedia Brittanica.

Also on the bookshelf: One of these days I will finish Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian. Will probably read "Special Topics in Calamity Physics" when Tiffany finishes it. She reads a lot more than I do--I'll try and get her to post here.

I loved the Inhabited World by David Long about a man who became a ghost and can't leave his house. Also the latest Harry Potter!!!

Hi Nancy,
I was so excited to get your comment on my blog. I will definately keep an eye out for a mirror for you. We have several in the store. You might want to pop in and take a look, I don't know how big you were looking for? Just thought I'd say hi!
Keep up that blogging. It was fun to see your family. Beautiful!
