Keeping up with the New Yorker and the Atlantic is about a full time reading job for me. But here's the summer list so far:
I'm currently reading "Road Through Kurdistan." It was written in the 30's by a British engineer who, well, built a road through Kurdistan. Good combo of a Kipling-esque adventure, travelogue, and history of a currently significant region. Just finished "The Know-it-All," which is an account of one man's quest to read the entire Encyclopaedia Brittanica.
Also on the bookshelf: One of these days I will finish Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian. Will probably read "Special Topics in Calamity Physics" when Tiffany finishes it. She reads a lot more than I do--I'll try and get her to post here.
Hi Nancy, I was so excited to get your comment on my blog. I will definately keep an eye out for a mirror for you. We have several in the store. You might want to pop in and take a look, I don't know how big you were looking for? Just thought I'd say hi! Keep up that blogging. It was fun to see your family. Beautiful!

I loved the Inhabited World by David Long about a man who became a ghost and can't leave his house. Also the latest Harry Potter!!!
