Happy Holidays
Here's a recent photo of me, in case you forgot what I look like. This is a good year to have a wood stove, with the high price of heating oil. Plus, splitting and stacking the wood is great exercise. Obviously a candid photo, taken through the window, because 1) I didn't screw it up by making a goofy face and 2) even I know better to pose in front of the trash can. Anyhow, we've really enjoyed having the fires. We're finally starting to figure out how to regulate the heat so that it's not either a raging inferno and 95 degrees in the living room or burnt out from lack of air.
With the holidays here, we've got the tree and ornaments up. Aren't we festive? The holidays chez Christensen/Cain are sponsored by tinfoil.

You look great out there chopping wood David! What fun to have your wood burning stove! It's warmed up again here and we slept with the windows open and were warm in the night. I wonder if it will ever cool off. I've only turned on the heat once this year for a morning. Can't wait for some chilly weather at Christmas time, there's nothing like sitting by the fire, even if it is just a gas fire- it'll still be great!
